About Me

Hi, my name is Chris, nice to meet you! Thanks for visiting my site. I hope you will find it beneficial.

To be perfectly honest the title “Financially Fit Father” is a bit ironic, because currently I am not so financially fit…though I am getting there. One of the reasons for this blog is to have folks join me on my journey of becoming debt free, building wealth, and planning for my family’s financial future.

I pastor a small rural church and attend Seminary part time. For a long time I really didn’t think about finances, because…well, I’ve got way more important things to do! Over the last few years however, I have been increasingly convicted that I NEED to get my financial act together. Money is a very spiritual issue and God has much to say about it. We are all called to steward the things of God well, and this certainly includes our finances.

So, as we begin our journey together, I will be talking about my many failures, occasional successes, and plans to do better. I hope to provide you guys with some helpful resources and links, and insights that I’ve gained along the way. I also hope to be able to share ideas for saving money, making money, and investing for the future.

Thanks again for stopping by, and I really hope you’ll have a look around at the site and find something useful. Also, please feel free to join the conversation and add your own insights, wisdom, and any other tips you’ve picked up along the way to help us all become more financially fit!
